Seven years ago I received a life-saving bilateral lung transplant due to a simple but devastating genetic condition called Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. It is caused by a single-gene mutation which can lead to severe lung and/or liver disease in those born with it.
Please help us spread awareness of this condition and fund research toward a cure.
