Welcome to My Personal Page
Join me in my efforts to support the Alpha-1 Foundation!
Hi All,
Thanks for visiting my Ride for a Reason - Team BU/BMC donation page!
I am currently a 5th year PhD candidate at Boston University School of Medicine, and I am doing full-time research in a science laboratory focused on liver regeneration. In late September, I will again be cycling 100 miles in two days along Cape Cod to raise funds and awareness to find a cure for alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Alpha-1 is a genetic condition that can lead to severe liver and lung disease. My research project involves trying to cure alpha-1 liver disease using healthy liver cells for transplantation.
This cause is very important to me. Your donation will help support the great programs and research conducted to find a cure for Alpha-1. Your contribution is greatly appreciated, and I am looking forward to riding for a reason!
Sincerely,
Anna Smith
