Support My Second 100-Mile Ride to Raise Awareness About Alpha-1
Join me in my efforts to support the Alpha-1 Foundation!
On September 23 and 24, I will be riding 100 miles for the second time on Cape Cod to raise awareness of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (alpha-1).
There are still so many people out there impacted by this disease, but they aren't aware of it. By the time their symptoms surface, lung function has declined and breathing becomes significantly more difficult. People with alpha-1 may ultimately need lifelong treatments or even lung transplants as they manage their condition.
Every dollar stays within this community and supports critical initiatives such as funding research to find treatments and ultimately, a cure, educating medical providers, ensuring families have access to healthcare, and providing access to educational resources.
My personal goal is to raise as much as possible for this worthy cause. I personally know folks who are affected by this condition and are riding on their behalf. Will you support my ride?
Thank you,
WeI
